Jun Takagi | Bizen Ware

Jun Takagi, a ceramic artist who creates pottery under the theme of "cute Bizen ware," studied ceramics at Kyoto College of Traditional Arts before apprenticing under Masanori Inomata, a Master of Traditional Crafts.
He established his own kiln in 2013 and began his career as an artist.

The appeal of his work lies in the unique expressions created by the Bizen ware firing method, which uses no glaze and relies solely on earth and fire, combined with charming, rounded silhouettes and a carefully finished, smooth texture.
