The Clear Sky and Sea in Your Hand: Tanba Ware, Inauemon Kiln's Colored Cup "Circus III"

Deep and vibrant in stillness. This is the blue version of the passionate "Circus" series created by Takeshi Uenaka, the 11th generation master who, while inheriting the tradition of Tanba ware, is active on the world stage in places like Paris and America. The design features a vertical gradient of cool colors such as blue, green, and purple, creating an ethereal beauty reminiscent of a clear sky, a deep sea, or a quiet night circus. The natural color fluctuations unique to hand-painting bring a gentle and intellectual rhythm to your table.

A Unique Expression Where Tradition and Modernity Intersect
Based on the reliable techniques of the generations-old Inauemon Kiln, this cup, colored with a contemporary sensibility, exudes an presence as an "art piece" that transcends a mere vessel.

  • Reset Your Mind with a Morning Drink: The refreshing colors make your awakening moments more peaceful. This cup is perfect for when you want to calm your mind and start the day.

  • For Afternoon Tea Time: Enjoy your favorite herbal tea or sencha. The deep colors of the cup soothe your mind and allow you to enjoy a quiet moment.

  • The Centerpiece of Your Interior: Even when not in use, simply placing it on a shelf brightens up the space. We also recommend arranging it alongside the red and rainbow versions to enjoy a feast of colors.

With a history spanning over 280 years, the colors are freely painted towards the future. Please enjoy a dramatic moment with this beautiful vessel that brings peace to your mind every time you hold it.

As some products are handmade, there may be slight differences in color, shape, and size compared to the photos.
The "individual differences" characteristic of ceramics (uneven coloring, crazing, pinholes, iron spots, etc.) are natural textures intended by the artist and kiln, and do not constitute defects. We hope you will enjoy these as the "scenery" of unique, one-of-a-kind vessels not found in mass-produced items.

As this is a fragile item, it will be carefully packaged. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
