Tamba ware is pottery passed down primarily in Tanbasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Tetsuji Ichino of Ichino Satoru Kiln uses his unique technique called "saishiki sen-zogan" (colored line inlay), where he carves patterns freehand and then fills them with colored clay, to create geometric and smooth lines. He has received numerous accolades, including selection for the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition and the Hyogo Prefectural Art Encouragement Prize.
