Clear blue, with the shadows of shinogi. A stately piece.

Gaho Kiln has been producing Tamba ware in Tamba Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, since 1890. Currently, the father and sons, Hideyuki Ichino (the fourth generation), Kenta, and Daisuke, continue to preserve the tradition of Tamba ware while creating vessels that suit modern lifestyles. We have received a rimmed bowl that makes a striking impression with its clear blue center and bold carving on the rim, created using their specialty "shinogi" technique.

01. A clear blue gradient spreading across the center

The generous application of glaze in the well of the bowl develops a wavering color during firing, creating a clear blue gradient, with no two pieces having the same expression. When serving colorful dishes such as sashimi or simmered foods, the food will stand out even more.

02. Bold "shinogi" shadows adorning the rim

Using the "shinogi" technique, a specialty of Gaho Kiln, powerful carved patterns are applied to the rim. The shadows change with the light, bringing a refined presence to the dining table.

03. A substantial size makes it a centerpiece dish

With a generous diameter of approximately 24cm, this piece is perfect for serving main dishes or as a hospitality plate for guests. Please enjoy your signature dishes on this plate.

Size Approx. 24cm (diameter) x 5cm (height)

Notes Each piece has a unique glaze appearance and "shinogi" carving expression. The pattern cannot be chosen, so please enjoy each piece as a unique encounter.
