Tamba ware is pottery passed down mainly in Tanba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Taro Ichino of the Gen-emon Kiln is an artist who has been making pottery for two generations. While preserving the traditional Tamba ware, he specializes in modern and charming designs such as polka dots, stripes, and checkerboard patterns. From the many sizes available, we have received our original striped mug, custom-made by Maison Toji.
Each stripe, hand-painted one by one, brings rhythm and character to your dining table. There are slight individual differences in the thickness and spacing of the lines, allowing you to enjoy a unique look even with the same pattern.
From a variety of sizes, Maison Toji has custom-ordered these original sizes. Enjoy a unique presence that you won't find in mass-produced items, exclusive to our store.
This versatile size is perfect for coffee and tea, and also works well as a soup cup. It's a piece that subtly blends into your daily life.
