A colorful and vibrant life with the Katauchi Spouted Bowl.

Tamba ware is said to have originated between the end of the Heian period and the beginning of the Kamakura period, and is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns (certified as a Japan Heritage site). Tetsuji Ichino of Ichino Satoru Kiln (Tamba Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture) graduated from Saga Junior College of Art's ceramics department and is an artist active as a full member of the Japan Crafts Association. He expresses geometric and smooth lines using his unique technique of "colored line inlay", where patterns are carved freehand and colored clay is embedded. He has achieved numerous accolades, including selection for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and the Hyogo Prefecture Art Encouragement Prize.
