The enjoyable fusion of Tamba craftsmanship and modern design.

Tamba ware is said to have originated in the late Heian period to early Kamakura period under the influence of Tokoname ware, and is one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan (certified as a Japan Heritage site).
Mr. Taro Ichino of Genemon Kiln is an artist who has been engaged in pottery for two generations in Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture.

While preserving the traditional Tamba ware, he excels in modern and charming designs such as polka dots, stripes, and Ichimatsu patterns, proposing "a life with tableware."

■ Maison Toji's Selection Point

These stacking bowls combine the practicality of stackable storage with the charm of geometric patterns. They are a product that fuses tradition with modern sensibilities. With three different patterns—stripe, puzzle, and Ichimatsu—you can enjoy choosing according to your mood or table setting for the day.

■ Product Features

The stackable design allows for space-saving storage, bringing joy with every use. Each piece is hand-painted, so there are individual differences in line expression and pattern placement, allowing you to enjoy a unique look even with the same pattern.

Available in convenient sizes (S/M) for a wide range of uses, such as salads, stews, soups, and fruits. Collecting different patterns will brighten up your dining table, and it is also recommended to collect the same pattern in different sizes.

■ For long-lasting use

  • Soaking in water before first use can help prevent stains and color transfer.
  • When stacking for storage, placing a cloth or paper between dishes can prevent scratches.
  • After use, dry thoroughly before storing.

■ Recommended combinations

By collecting items from the same series, you can create a unified and modern Japanese space.
