Gahou Kiln has been producing Tanba ware in Tamba Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture since 1890. Currently, led by the fourth generation, Hideyuki Ichino, and his sons Kenta and Daisuke, the family continues to create pottery that suits modern lifestyles while preserving the traditions of Tanba ware. We have received a mug featuring the "shinogi" technique, which brings a warmth of craftsmanship amidst a serene stillness.
