A once-in-a-lifetime landscape painted by earth and fire: Bizen ware sobachoko that blend into everyday life.

Bizen ware, one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan, is a proud heritage of Okayama Prefecture. Without the use of any glaze, the "hiero" (fire color) and "botamochi" patterns, born solely from the chemical reaction of earth and fire, are unique, natural works of art. We introduce sobachoko cups, crafted by artist Jun Takagi, that are rustic yet beautifully integrated into modern dining settings.

01. A simple yet powerful texture embodying "beauty in utility"

The unique unglazed "yakishime" texture of Bizen ware gains luster and depth with continued use. The natural gradations, utilizing the inherent colors of the earth, bring a sense of calm and sophistication to your dining table.

02. Beyond sobachoko: A standard for daily living

It's the perfect size for enjoying soba, of course, but also for tea or coffee, and even as a small bowl for serving side dishes.

03. The functional beauty unique to Bizen clay that keeps water pure

Bizen ware has a unique characteristic of having microscopic pores, which prevents water from spoiling easily, making it suitable for use as a vase for small seasonal flowers.
