■ PROFILE

Asano-gama: Mayuko Ichino
Tanba ware is a form of pottery with over 800 years of history, centered in Tanbasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who leads Asano-gama, opened her own kiln after learning the craft at her family's Shozo-gama. Her style reflects a younger generation, blending the rustic quality of Tanba clay with charming, playful motifs like dots and flowers.

■ Recommended Pairings

By combining pieces from the same kiln, you can create a cohesive and lovely table setting.
