■ PROFILE

Asano-gama: Mayuko Ichino
Tanba ware is a form of pottery with over 800 years of history, rooted in the Tanba-Sasayama region of Hyogo Prefecture. After studying pottery at her family's studio, Shozo-gama, Mayuko Ichino established her own independent studio, Asano-gama. Her work is characterized by a fresh, contemporary sensibility, combining the rustic texture of Tanba clay with charming patterns like dots and flowers.
