Warm Expressions Created by Amber Glaze.

Tambaware is said to have originated from the late Heian period to the early Kamakura period, and is one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan (certified as a Japan Heritage site). Shusaku Ichino of Shozo Kiln (Tanbasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture) is a ceramic artist who, after graduating from Ryukoku University, honed his skills at the Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Technology College, and continues to create as the third generation. While valuing traditional techniques, he produces contemporary works with rich colors and delicate flows, and has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prize at the Kobe Biennale Contemporary Ceramics Competition.
