Tamba ware is pottery with a history of over 800 years, passed down mainly in Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who presides over Asanogama kiln, learned pottery at her family's Shozogama kiln before becoming independent and opening Asanogama kiln. Her distinctive style, characteristic of a younger generation, combines the rustic Tamba clay with charming motifs like dots and flowers.
