Tamba ware is pottery with over 800 years of history, passed down mainly in Tanbasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who presides over Asanogama kiln, learned pottery at her family's Shozogama kiln before becoming independent and opening Asanogama. Her characteristic style, typical of the younger generation, combines the rustic Tamba clay with charming motifs like dots and flowers.
