This pendant light was made from a single vintage vessel whose maker and place of origin are unknown. Its deep green glaze is decorated with floral motifs, and its appeal lies in the quiet character that only a vessel aged over time can have. At a well-proportioned 20.5 cm wide, it also works beautifully as a single light above a dining table, in an entryway, or by a window.

soiro is an upcycled lighting brand that breathes new life into ceramic parts that never made it into finished products and materials that have served their purpose, in regions with a long history of craftsmanship.

The brand name comes from the words for “the color of a material” and “an accent color.” While making the most of the textures of materials created using traditional techniques, soiro reimagines them as minimalist lighting that fits into contemporary life. This is more than mere “recycling”—it reflects respect for materials and a new aesthetic.
