An adorable small plate with confetti-like dots that pop.

Tamba ware is a form of pottery with a history of over 800 years, passed down through generations in and around Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who runs Asanogama, studied pottery-making at her family’s Shozogama kiln before going independent and opening Asanogama. Her distinctive style brings an endearing, youthful touch to rustic Tamba clay with playful dots. The piece featured here is a small plate with a charming wavy rim.

This whimsical plate features a gently undulating rim, with colorful dots scattered across it like confetti. Its matte white surface reveals subtle hints of the clay beneath, creating a rustic yet delicate feel.
