A 10.5cm small plate that complements your dining table.

Shoyo Kiln was founded in 1968 in Tamba Sasayama. The family tradition of pottery has been passed down through generations, from the second-generation Hiroshi Ogami to the third-generation Hiroki Ogami, who continue the craft. We are pleased to offer their small plates with a charming matte texture and crazing, including the "Yuzu" series, which reproduces the vibrant color of ripe yuzu, brightening your heart.

01. The perfect supporting role size – always good to have one more

At 10.5cm, this plate plays a subtle yet undeniably active supporting role on your dining table. Use it for pickles, condiments, sweets, or as an individual serving plate. Neither too big nor too small, it naturally fits into various everyday dining scenes.

02. Carefully selected matte colors

The deep, matte colors are not overly ostentatious, pairing well with antique furniture and vintage interiors, adding a touch of sophistication to adult spaces. They are lovely even when multiple plates are arranged together, and beautiful even when stacked.

03. Unique expressions created by crazing

The crazing patterns on the surface and the unique color variations of each piece are proof of handmade craftsmanship. Each piece offers a "once-in-a-lifetime" charm, growing more endearing with every use.

■ For long-lasting use

  • Soaking in water before use helps prevent food moisture and oil from permeating.
  • Please enjoy the individual differences (color unevenness and pinholes) that are characteristic of handmade pieces.

■ Recommended combinations

Combining with other colors from the same series will make each color stand out more vividly due to their complementary relationship. Enjoy a colorful table setting to match the season or your mood. Other works by Shoyo Kiln can be viewed here.
