Tamba ware is pottery with over 800 years of history, inherited primarily in Tamba Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who presides over Asanogama, learned pottery at her family's Shozogama before becoming independent and opening Asanogama. Her artistic style, characteristic of a younger generation, combines adorable dot patterns with the rustic Tamba clay. This time, we introduce a square plate that can be both the star and a supporting actor on your daily dining table.
Light green and brown dots scattered playfully across a matte cream-colored glaze add a cheerful accent. No two arrangements are the same, allowing you to enjoy the unique, one-of-a-kind expression of handmade craftsmanship.
This square plate has a soft impression with gently raised corners. The subtle, handmade curves prevent it from being too rectilinear, adding a gentle touch to your dining table.
Measuring approximately 14.5 cm square, this plate is a versatile size that works well for serving grilled fish or other dishes, as well as appetizers or desserts.
