A charming little piece that blooms softly on your table.
Tamba ware is pottery with a history of more than 800 years, passed down mainly in Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Mayuko Ichino, who runs Asano Kiln, learned pottery-making at her family’s Shozo Kiln before setting out on her own and opening Asano Kiln. Her signature style combines the rustic character of Tamba clay with charming details, reflecting the sensibility of a younger generation. Featured here is a flower-shaped plate that’s sure to make you say, “How cute!”
01. A floral silhouette that delights every time you see it
The carefully shaped petal contours bring a gentle, cheerful feel to your table. The simplicity of the black and white designs beautifully highlights the subtle variations of handmade pottery and the delicate shading of the glaze, making each plate more endearing with every use.
02. Perfect for sweets or condiments—the beloved size that does it all
The small plate is perfect not only for soy sauce and condiments, but also for serving a piece of chocolate or a cookie alongside your tea. The large plate is equally versatile, making a lovely serving plate for a main dish or a cake.
03. Enjoy choosing from two sizes and two colors
Choose from two sizes—a small plate and a large plate (approx. 21 cm)—and two colors, white and black. A mix of designs will brighten your table, and you can also choose different plates to suit the occasion.
