A beautiful Rinka bowl with a petal-like scalloped rim and stunning glaze colors.
Tanba ware is one of Japan's six historic kilns (Japan Heritage certified), said to have originated between the late Heian and early Kamakura periods. Shusaku Ichino of Shozo Kiln (Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture) is a third-generation potter who honed his craft at the Kyoto Prefectural College of Ceramic Arts and Technology. While cherishing traditional techniques, he creates works with rich hues and delicate flows. This Rinka bowl features a rim shaped like flower petals and is available in two colors: green and blue.
01. Petal-like Rinka shape
The gently scalloped rim adds a soft touch to your table. Whether viewed from above or the side, you can feel the unique variations that only handmade pieces can offer.
02. Green and blue glazes flowing inside
The green glaze flows over the white base in a pale green hue, while the blue glaze spreads vividly throughout the interior. The exterior creates a contrast with the clay's natural color and the white, making every piece one of a kind.
03. A practical size for everyday use as a small bowl
Measuring approximately 13 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm in height, this practical size is perfect for serving everyday dishes such as dressed salads, simmered dishes, salads, and desserts.
■ For long-lasting use
- Soaking the bowl in water before first use can help prevent stains and color transfer.
- Please dry thoroughly after use before storing.
■ Recommended combinations
Pairing it with other pieces from the same kiln will create a harmonious table setting.
